What is swine flu?

            Swine flu is a infection caused by one of the multiple types of influenza viruses, particularly the new strain of virus H1N1 influenza is commonly referred to as swine flu, pig flu or swine influenza.

  • Fever with chills accompanied by sore throat

How to prevent from swine flu
  • Wash hands before eating
  • Use hand sanitizers
  • Wash fruits and vegetables
  • Keep a distance from anyone with a cough, or sneezing.
  • Wear a mask on airplanes and crowded places
  • Avoid repeated touching of face, eyes and nose
  • Dispose of dirty tissues
  • Keep your body hydrated


Treatment of swine flu

            An anti-viral drug administered within two days of symptoms can bring considerable relief and faster recovery.  Further, the fever should be controlled, body well hydrated, and other infections and complications contained.
