The search option in windows 8 and 8.1 is little different compare to windows 7 and windows XP.  So before you go to search file and containing text in the document, you need to do simple setting…
1.    Open “Control Panel” take “Large Icon” in view by. Click on “Indexing Options” and click on “Modify” check the boxes, which drive you want search your content like drive D, drive E, drive F, or drive G and than click “Ok”

2.    After this just hold “Windows key” and press “F” (Win+F) type your file name or file text in search box and hit “Enter”
