How to Disable/Turn Off Automatic Numbering in MS Word

1.   Click on “Office Button” – “Word Options” – “Proofing”               
2.    Click on “AutoCorrect Options” and click on “AutoFormat As You Type”

3.    In Apply as you type section, uncheck the “Automatic numbered lists” if you want you can also disable “Automatic bulleted lists”, and than click “ok”, “ok”,
