Sometime we need to insert different page number format in same word document, like Roman numerals or Arabic numerals etc. there are many articles and video available on this topic but I will use easy way to insert different page number format in same word document, this method will work all the version of MS word like word 2003, word 2007, word 2010, word 2013 and word 2106. Let see how to insert Roman and Arabic page number in same word doc.
1. Open word file click on “Insert” click on “page number” and select page number position.
2. The default page number will be inserted, double click on header or footer, click on “Page Number” navigate and select “Format page numbers” select your required ex i.ii.iii., format and click on “ok”
3. Now the important thing, after some pages we need to give different page number format, for this keep the cursor end of the page or end of the text from where you want to change page number format and go to “Page Setup” in apply to box select the “This point Forward” and “Ok”
4. One blank page will open use delete button to remove this blank page, now double click on header or footer, click on “Page Number” navigate and select “Format page numbers” select your required format like 1,2,3…, select 1 in “Start at” and click on “Ok”
