“Windows was unable to complete the format” this is the error we all hate; this happens when windows unable to format the pen drive, does it mean the pen drive is dead? I think no, we should try another way to format pen drive hopefully this will work, let see how to do this (do it on your own risk).
1. Attach pen drive to desktop or laptop and remember the drive letter name
2. Go to start type and open “cmd” Command Prompt
3. Now type “Format /q/x k:” (k is driver letter) and hit enter, and again hit enter, after this; hopefully your pen drive will format
