To be honest there is no straightforward way or shortcut key in windows OS to remove or eject mass storages, it does not mean we will give up, lets try a very light weight tool called “USB Disk Ejector” this small tool give a option to safely remove USB pen by using a single keyboard shortcut key, lets see how to use this.
1. Open google in the browser type and search “usb disk ejector” open the first link and download the tool. After download it will be in zip format extract and setup the tool.
2. On the bottom right corner you will see a pop up box, click on “more” – “options”
3. Click on “Hotkeys” select “drive letter” for example my USB drive letter is “k”, after select
4. Click on “Add” give a shortcut key like “f1, f3 etc.” and than “ok” from next time just use shortcut key to safely eject your pen drive.
