Starting July Thursday 2024 evening, a Microsoft outage affected airlines, banks, healthcare, and energy companies worldwide. CrowdStrike, a cybersecurity firm, inadvertently triggered a glitch in its software update, causing Windows computers running their software to crash.

How to Fix It by using safe mode:
- Restart Your PC: Most users simply need to wait for CrowdStrike’s fix. Reboot your Windows computer until the issue is resolved.
- Safe Mode and File Deletion: Boot into Safe Mode or Windows Recovery Environment.

- Navigate to %WINDIR%\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike.
- Locate and delete the file named “C-00000291*.sys.”
- Boot your system normally.
